The typical Turkish market harbour town of Fethiye just a short bus ride away. Although the water taxi is the more leisurely mode of transport across the bay .
The world famous Olu Deniz. the lively mountain town of Hisaronu, the ghost village at Kaya Koy are also close by.
For the more adventurous, Olu has one of the worlds premiere Paragliding launch sites, Mount Babadag is 6,000 feet above the resort. Tandem paragliding jumps are available, your decent takes about 40 minutes and is simply spectacular.
There are lots of quiet and secluded sandy coves perfect for exploring with a hire car.
